Last Saturday, over 100 women had a taste of fine wine, the latest Mercedes-Benz and Estée Lauder make-up.

The event themed ‘The Refined Woman, She's Mercedes’ was held at Trademark hotel in Nairobi.

The Zambian ambassador to Kenya Brenda Muntemba and Annette Gunter, the German ambassador attended the event.

“The afternoon was filled with laughter and a deep conversation about East Africa’s creative and luxury market as well as the unique consumption trends in Africa. Guests shared ideas on how Kenya can improve the appreciation of high-quality products,” said Michael Mwai, the Luxuria Lifestyle East Africa managing director.

Mercedes Benz showcased its range of luxury vehicles as it seeks to attract new buyers to boost its sales that slumped in the nine months ending September.

Victoria Furniture’s bespoke luxury department, The Design Gallery, had a variety of furniture on display while Estée Lauder which launched its products in Kenya in 2012, gave the women a feel of the Double Wear foundation, one of the best-selling globally.

Mr Mwai said the event will be held every year to celebrate women and help bring to fore creative entrepreneurs working in the premium and luxury segment in East Africa and enable sellers of high-end brands meet customers.
