Maggie Ireri,
Md Tifa Research

Maggie is the founder and Managing Director of TIFA Research and the chairperson of Marketing Society of Kenya. Ms Ireri is a research guru with over 15 years’ experience in market research, opinion polling and marketing strategy. Her professional career has seen her hold multiple senior positions in the area of research and marketing before she founded TIFA. She has traversed the African continent observing consumer behaviour and trends and is passionate about transforming data into insights.

Phillip Muema,
Managing Partner, Andersen Tax, Kenya

Phillip has over 20 years’ experience in tax advisory, commercial strategy and structuring. He currently chairs the Public Finance Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, (ICPAK) and is an alumni of IESE Business School— University of Navarra and Strathmore University. As the Managing Partner for Andersen Tax, Phillip now sits on the Global Advisory Board of Andersen Tax and have been instrumental in the growth and expansion of the firm into the rest of Africa.

Martha Mbugua,
Co-founder of Law3Sixty

Martha Mbugua, co-founder of Law3Sixty. Martha is also a co-founder of i-draft, an online platform that provides simple legal documents to individuals and business alike. She has more than 12 years’ legal work experience in three globally ranked law firms in Nairobi. She also worked briefly in South Africa and in the legal department of Barclays Bank of Kenya and at East Africa Breweries Limited. Martha has been ranked as a rising star in private equity/mergers and acquisitions by IFLR 1000 (an internationally recognized legal directory) in the years 2017-2019 and was recognized by the Legal 500 2018 publication as a recommended lawyer in the Kenyan market. She was on the Top 40 under 40 Women’s 2017 list and is currently advising three private equity funds on various investments in Kenya.

Catherine Karita,
Exec. Director, NIC Securities

A Top 40 Under 40 Women lauriate, Catherine is a thought leader in the Investment Banking sector and has previously served in the Board of Kenya Association of Stocker Brokers and Investment Banks having been elected by her peers. She has 10 years’ experience in the Kenyan Capital markets where she has been instrumental in the placement of new equity and debt issues. Prior to joining NIC Group, Catherine held various leadership roles at SBG Securities as well as Bank of America. She holds a Bsc. Information Systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMBC), an LLB from the UoN, and an MBA concentration Finance from the University of Baltimore.

Anne Kiunuhe,
Partner at Anjarwalla & Khana

A past recipient of the Top 40 under 40 Women award, Anne is an accomplished corporate lawyer with over 10 years of practice. Anne is recognised as a thought leader in mergers & acquisitions, IT & telecommunications law, competition law and private equity. She is consistently involved in some of the most prominent transactions in Eastern Africa, where she has represented multinationals such as Vivo Energy and Emerging Capital Partners. Anne is an ardent writer and a regular speaker at various international legal and business forums. She has been recognised as a leading legal mind by international legal directories such as Chambers Global, IFLR and Legal 500. She has won the CfC Stanbic Rising Star Awards.
