Another KQ leased plane set for sale on fleet age strategy

A third Kenya Airways (KQ) aircraft lessor has received regulatory approval to sell a plane leased to the national flag carrier as part of a larger plan to reduce the average age of its fleet.

The Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) has approved the sale of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft owned by UK-based Macquarie AirFinance Holdings Limited, currently leased to KQ, to American lessor Skyvault Holdings.
