Taxi-hailing platform Little has introduced a panic button feature on its application to boost security of riders and drivers.
The new feature on the platform’s home screen will enable Little customers in Nairobi and Mombasa to call for help whenever in distress. The e-hailing platform has teamed up with KK security to offer real-time response.
A rider or driver in distress will be required to press the button and an automatic message, which includes the current location with the ride information, will be sent to a response team for action.
“Now a single tap of the SOS button in the Little app helps you to alert your distress and related concerns to Little safety response team serviced by KK Security in real time,” read a statement sent to its customers.
“Our safety response team will reach your location following your GPS in a matter of minutes to take control of the situation and ensure your safety.”
