The Nation Media Group (NMG) through the Business Daily newspaper will next week hold its first conference on “BD National Investor Education” as the group continues to cement its position as the leading source of business information.

The one-day event to be held on November 30 at Sarova Panafric Hotel, Nairobi is an initiative of the Nation Media Group, in collaboration with Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest).

It will be an annual conference aiming to highlight various investment products and services from the leading providers.

Themed “Saving and Investing Right” the conference will bring together potential investors, investment service providers, business executives, government representatives, financiers, entrepreneurs, diasporas, experts, policymakers, and professionals from across the East African region to discuss and present opportunities for economic growth for both local and foreign investors and businesses.

The event seeks to share knowledge and viewpoints, foment a common understanding among different players in the investment sector, give providers of investment vehicles and services an intense opportunity to present what they offer, and to instil a saving and investment culture among the youth.

“Kenyans are enterprising, and given the right information and connections, they will invest right and prosper. In addition, opportunities for investments are diverse. What is lacking is adequate knowledge among the masses, and indeed potential investors. We invite you to join us in this initiative and showcase your investment products and services with the delegates,” reads a note on the conference.

Kenya has successfully established a diverse and dynamic economy and serves as the point of entry to the larger, 300 million people East African market.

According to data from KenInvest, Kenya contributes the lion's share of the region’s GDP.

Also present at the event will be diverse stakeholders, among them providers of investment vehicles, prospective investors, regulators, business researchers, economists, and market analysts in a bid to exchange views and perspectives, even as they learn from one another.
