Youth unemployment remains a serious challenge in Kenya with the youth comprising 67 percent of those without jobs.
This problem is exacerbated by underemployment and poor quality jobs in the informal sector. The trends indicate that over one million young people enter the labour market annually but only a few get into meaningful employment.
