Coast residents face water shortage over power dispute

More than one million water consumers are caught up in a dispute between the Coast Water Services Board and Kenya Power over the settlement of electricity bills.
Residents of Mombasa, Malindi, Watamu and Kilifi towns went without water for three days last week after electricity supply to the Baricho Water Works in Kilifi County was cut off over a bill of Sh69 million.
