Judge rejects Mwau’s bid for national honours

Businessman Harun Mwau has lost a court bid to compel President Uhuru Kenyatta to award him national honours for his service as Kilome MP between 2008 and 2012.

Justice Isaac Lenaola on Thursday ruled that the President has discretion to choose individuals to be feted by the State, arguing that Mr Mwau’s claim of discrimination was not justified.
