The Treasury has released Sh2 billion to pay premiums for a group life insurance cover for the National Police Service (NPS), offering relief to bereaved families of officers who remained unpaid throughout 2025.
A supplementary budget, which Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi tabled on Wednesday before the National Assembly, shows that the finance ministry disbursed the funds on February 17.
