Safaricom set to reveal the recipients of Sh3bn NYS payments

Safaricom has asked Parliament to give it time to provide details of individuals who received Sh3 billion from the National Youth Service (NYS) through the M-Pesa platform.
Safaricom chief executive officer Bob Collymore pleaded with the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to allow it seven days to ascertain the identities of 18,000 individuals who were paid by the NYS through the National Bank of Kenya (NBK).
