The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has recovered Sh222.3 million that had been overpaid to tutors, amid a crackdown to recover over Sh433.9 million in salary overpayments.
The TSC overpaid teachers due to the use of a manual reporting system, prompting audit queries that forced the employer to go after the tutors who had received higher amounts than their approved salaries.
