Demystifying prostate cancer

The other day I had the unique experience of explaining, in vernacular, what prostate cancer is to a 90-year-old man.
It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do – considering that Kikuyu, like most local languages, has no word for ‘prostate’ let alone ‘cancer’.
