Ethiopia scouts Kenyan stockbrokers to deepen new capital market

The Ethiopian capital markets regulator is seeking to onboard Kenyan stockbrokers, investment banks and other intermediaries with a view to attracting local investors to a market that is opening up to foreign participation.
The country has developed a functional capital markets ecosystem from scratch in four years from 2020, following reforms led by the government and its central bank, the National Bank of Ethiopia.
