Motorcycle dealer Yamaha has entered into a deal to train riders who operate on online delivery Sendy platform.

The training, which started on Monday, will offer safety tools for motorcyclists as well as encourage more riders to use Yamaha motorcycles.

“Yamaha considers rider safety as top priority and training on how to use our motorcycles is key for us.

“Together with Sendy, we have embarked on an exercise to train their riders on motorcycle safety.

“Head injuries caused by motorcycles are ranked highest and it is for this reason that we need to ensure motorists use all the gadgets we provide when purchasing our products. We will continue to train riders to reduce the number of motorcycle related accidents and injuries” said Augustine Juma, general manager at Yamaha.

According to National Transport and Safety Authority, the majority of motorcycle accidents were caused by riders who were not trained.
