Global Career Company (GCC) has partnered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) to set up an initiative which will equip Kenyan companies with the capacity to assess employee engagement and improve company productivity.

Through the initiative dubbed ‘Engage Kenya,’ every company will be able to access the internationally recognised Willis Towers Watson engagement survey free of charge.
The survey could cost companies from $10,000 to $100,000.

The online survey will be available in English and Kiswahili and will anonymously provide managers with information on employee productivity and satisfaction.

It will be available on on a one-off basis, with registration having opened at the third annual Talent Agenda Series Conference held last week.

“Organisations have been conducting engagement surveys in Kenya but this has largely been in private organisations and no statistic can be referenced to indicate with certainty that the Kenyan workforce is engaged and to what extent,” said Dorcas Wainaina, executive director of IHRM, speaking at the opening of the conference.

“As a country, we want to know how we are faring in as far as the Human Resource in workplaces in concerned across all sectors.”

Global Career Company told the 180 chief executive officers, chief operation officers and human resource s professionals who participated in the function that they will also provide companies with information on how to build capacity and promote company growth based on other successful companies as well as provide predictions on the impact of recommended changes.

Global Career Company Ltd has been operating on the African continent for 15 years.

In the beginning, the company incentivised skilled African professionals to return from overseas and work in African countries.

As markets changed, they focussed on capacity building for professionals within the countries.
