Gulf African Bank has partnered with the UN Women agency to help businesses win tenders within the Shariah compliant institution.

The lender said it reserves certain procurement items for women with bidders enjoying unsecured trade finance products.

It has organised a two-day women empowerment workshop starting March 22 in Mombasa to inform women-owned businesses of the existing opportunities.

It said it will equip the enterprises with the necessary skills to win tenders at the bank and the private sector.

UN Women has been carrying out a campaign seeking to champion women and girls’ right to access opportunities in business.
